After completing a Bachelor of Science in Family Development from the University of Georgia, Mecall Pearson, MA, LPC spent some time working at a crisis pregnancy center before beginning her degree at Psychological Studies Institute (now called Richmont Graduate University), where she graduated with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. Mecall also completed a specialization in Christian Sex Therapy. In addition to counseling people on a wide range of issues, Mecall has experience treating individuals and couples struggling with sexual issues. Mecall has experience with diverse populations, including couples suffering from sexual addiction, women recovering from sexual abuse, female sexual addicts, and various other issues related to sexuality. Mecall’s practice focuses on couples’ and women’s sexual issues (such as body image and postpartum adjustment), pre-marital and marital counseling (using the PREPARE/ENRICH program), sexual dysfunctions (such as vaginismus and low sexual desire), coping with anxiety and depression, and spiritual issues. Mecall is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and is also working toward certification with the American Board of Christian Sexual Therapists (ABCST). Mecall lives in Atlanta with her husband of 11 years and their two small children.
